Glorious Day

What a glorious day! Of course it's now fall, my FAVORITE time of the year and today the temperature actually felt like fall. On top of that, this is the first day in the longest time that we were home ALL day. We spent the day just hanging out, getting some things accomplished around the house, and enjoying the outdoors.

This is just one of MANY reasons I love living in the country. This is what we spotted out our back door this morning. Can you see her? It's a hen turkey. If you ask Riley what we do to turkeys she says, "Shoot 'em and eat 'em." Her daddy is so proud...

Riley and Daddy found two treasures this morning...a box turtle out on the road and this cute little glass pitcher buried in our front flower bed.
I've lost count of how many "bouquets" Riley has given me but they never get old.

After a nap, Riley helped me cut out and decorate sugar cookies. We did pumpkins, leaves, and the first letter of each our names.

I didn't get a picture of it but Josie had her first outing to the barn to see the horses and pet the kittens. You would think a baby might be scared of such things but she just smiled and giggled, especially petting the kitty.
I LOVE days like today and I LOVE my life as a wife and mommy!
