If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm really not good at this blogging stuff. I just can't get my brain thinking enough each and every night to post. I believe it's been a week or longer since I posted last and I'm sorry for that. Just been a little busy, a little tired, and a little distracted thinking about the upcoming holiday season.
We did get big news last week though. We are having another GIRL! We are very excited that Riley will have a sister to play with and be close to. We would have been happy either way as long as the baby is happy. I have already experienced some frustration with people when we tell them it's a girl. They say, "Well you can always try again for a boy," as if having another girl is a disappointment. Why would people say that? I don't care if we have 10 girls, as long as they are all healthy!
Enough of my soapbox, we had a good weekend together. Started out Friday night with Phil and I going on a date to see the movie "The Blind Side." We are big sports people so we loved it. It was a great true story so I would highly recommend it. We then went and picked Riley up (yes, I have a hard time cutting the apron strings from her) and ate at Red Lobster. We then took her to Barnes and Nobles. I think it's her new favorite store! As soon as we walked in she said, "Wow, amazing!" She kept saying it over and over as she picked up books, sat at the little table in the kids area, and played on the stage. We bought a few books then headed home.
Saturday Riley and I went shopping with my mom for most of the day. Riley is a trooper and I think is going to like shopping as she gets older. (Fun for Mommy, not for Daddy and our pocketbook!) We found quite a few good deals but I'm really pumped about Black Friday! Yes, I am one of those lunatics that gets up early to fight the mobs for a bargain.
Today was a regular Sunday for us, music practice, Sunday school, church, lunch with the family, and then a few errands. Here's a picture of us in our matching outfits...(No we don't do this often and when we do I think Phil feels like a goober. I think he looks cute though!)
Well in case I keep up my lack of blogging streak through Thanksgiving, have a good one! Find a way to be thankful for all you have and spend time with your family and friends.

Joe and I went to see the Blind Side on Friday night too. We loved it, incredible movie! We didn't go until the 9 o'clock showing because we couldn't get a babysitter until then. It was a super LONG night, thank goodness it was a great movie and worth it.
I'm excited about your little girl, Bethany is excited for Riley too.
Do you have your Christmas tree up already?! I'm eager, but so not up to that yet!
I've been in bed most of the weekend, re-cooping and preparing for another couple days at home with the kids. Looking forward to short week, I know you are too!
Riley is at the perfect age for Barnes and Noble, my kids loved it too about that age. They still do, but bot as much.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
