Overprotective Mommy and the Allergic Little Girl

Not sure if you can tell much in this picture but this is what my child's legs look like right now! We were pretty sure they were bug bites but they were welped up so bad and some even looked bubbled like poison ivy. So this overprotective mommy just had to take her to the doctor. I mean what if it was something worse?! I had a doctor's appointment myself this afternoon so I took a half day from work and took her to see the doc. Drumroll please...they are mosquito BITES! Apparently she's highly allergic to the bites which the doc says is not uncommon for young children. But it can't be so as much of an outside kid she is! Guess this means long pants and slathering down with bug spray before every trip outside!

It wasn't a wasted day though...we had a girls' day out and went to lunch at Cracker Barrel. Then she went with me to see my doc where it was confirmed I AM PREGNANT! Thank the Lord! Riley's going to be a big sister and a good one at that!

YAAAAYYYY!!! Well, about the baby, not the bug bites! I noticed them at church on Sunday. That's how Bethany's bug bites look, I hate it.
Congrats!! Did you get to see the baby? Glad everything went well and you got to spend some extra time with Riley today.

Had a second thought, you might want to try out Babylegs for Riley. I don't know how hot they would be, I noticed some are made out of different fabric. I have thought about buying some for Bethany. They fit most kids from newborns to size 10!! They are really neat and cute you'll have to check them out here

Just a thought, if I don't get them now, I'm buying some this winter for the girls.

Didn't see the baby but have ultra sound scheduled for September to determine my date. It was nice to hear a medical professional confirm it!
The leggings are very cute! I guess I'm just going to have to keep her in long pants and spray her down with bug spray. We get lazy with the bug spray especially when they don't seem to be biting us...I just think it's not a problem. Doc said that kiddos attract bugs more, I'm sure because she so sweet!
